Amelia Island Annual Redfish Spot Tournament

When: September 7th

Where: Amelia Island Marina

Who: Youth Welcome

This annual event benefits Folds of Honor, an organization dedicated to support the families of those who have fallen in battle or become disabled. The tournament has a youth division and features plenty of cash prizes.

Chasentailz Fishing Tournament

When: September 7th

Where: Harbourside Place, Jupiter

Who: PeeWee and Junior Anglers welcome

We are adding this tournament to our list because it is for such a good cause. Proceeds benefit local charities focused on children with cancer. The tournament itself is in loving memory of Chase Warren, who died as a child from a rare disease. The tournament welcomes both peewee and junior anglers as well as separate prizes for them and the top female angler. Sign up and bring the whole family.

Herman Lucerne Memorial Tournament

When: September 20 to September 22

Where:Islander Resort in Islamorada

Who: Experienced Anglers

This tournament celebrates the life of Herman Lucerne, or “Mr. Everglades” as he was nicknamed for his love of fishing in that area. Anglers are challenged to fish in the unique climate that is the Florida Everglades. The goal of the tournament is to raise awareness and support for this delicate ecosystem. Anglers will focus on seven different species, and there are 22 different categories available for awards.

Take Stock in Children Backcountry Challenge

When: September 27 to September 29

Where: Key Largo

Who: Kids, Juniors, and Professional Anglers

Next on our list of September fishing tournaments in Florida, this catch and release tournament is for snook, redfish, and trout. The proceeds go to Take Stock in Children, a Florida-wide program that focuses on academic scholarships for underprivileged students. There are kids, junior, and professional division and awards so everyone is welcome.
