Capt. Jack Carlson was born in Marathon and has followed his father’s footsteps (a fishing guide since 1973) as a Florida Keys Fishing Guide. Capt. Jack started Two Conchs in 1997 and named his boat the “Two Conchs” after himself and his best friend. When you are born in the Keys you are called a Conch, hence the name “Two Conchs”.
May 30, 2001 Capt. Jack set an IGFA World Record on Gag Grouper for himself and has guided several clients to other World Records.
In 2003 Capt. Jack decided to open and operate “Big Time Bait & Tackle” to further advance his operation, not only to purchase bait & tackle at great prices but to establish a relationship with venders throughout the industry. Big Time Bait & Tackle is still in operation today.
Capt. Jack has placed in fishing tournament from 1st-5th places in several Mahi-Mahi, Kingfish, and Multi Species Tournaments from Key West to Key Largo. Capt. Jack operates 14 boats currently in his charter fleet in Marathon, Florida from 17’-39’ and running more than 2500 charters annually.
In 2018 Capt. Jack started filming his TV Show, “Two Conchs Sportfishing TV.” on Sportsman Channel and is currently filming for Season 4. Capt. Jack’s concept for the reality-based fishing show is to highlight his customers experience aboard his charter fleet. Capt. Jack wants himself and his captains to be “Reachable” to their client/fan base. “You can watch us on TV and come fish with your favorite personality”.
